2-Week / 100-Hour Beginner Manual Welding Course

Hands-On Training for Entry-Level Welders

This comprehensive beginner course provides 100 hours of foundational, hands-on training in manual welding techniques using industry-standard equipment and processes. Designed for individuals new to the welding field, the course emphasizes shop safety, core welding skills, and practical experience across multiple welding methods and materials.

Course Overview

Welding Processes Covered:

  • SMAW (Stick Welding): All-position welding using 6010 and 7018 electrodes

  • GTAW (TIG Welding): Welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

  • GMAW (MIG Welding): Includes spray arc, short arc, globular, and pulse transfer modes

  • FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding): Structural steel welding with flux-core wire

Cutting & Gouging Techniques:

  • Plasma cutting

  • Oxy-fuel cutting

2-Week / 112-Hour Advanced Manual Pipe & Structural Welding Course

Code-Focused Training for Experienced Welders

This advanced course delivers 112 hours of intensive, hands-on training for welders seeking to specialize in high-performance pipe and structural welding in compliance with ASME and AWS codes. Designed for individuals with prior experience in SMAW and/or GTAW, the program prepares students for roles in pressure vessel, piping, and structural fabrication across heavy industrial sectors.

Course Overview

Welding Processes Covered:

  • SMAW (Stick Welding): Root, fill, and cap passes using 6010 & 7018 electrodes

  • GTAW (TIG Welding): Precision root and hot passes on carbon and stainless steel pipe

  • GMAW (MIG Welding): Pipe welding using short arc and pulse transfer modes

  • FCAW (Flux-Cored Welding): Optional for structural welding applications

Pipe & Structural Welding Focus:

  • Welding positions: 2G, 5G, 6G (vertical up, overhead, and fixed)

  • Pipe sizes: 6" Schedule 40/80 and 2" Schedule 80

  • Advanced fit-up, land preparation, tack welding, and weld profiling

  • Real-world joint prep and alignment according to industry standards

Testing & Qualification Practice:

  • Destructive and non-destructive testing methods

  • Bend testing

  • Radiographic (X-ray) inspection
